Jacob Burling completed his JD degree at the University of Ottawa Faculty of Law, graduating cum laude in 2022. Previously, he graduated from the University of Windsor with a Bachelor of Science in Honours Physics, with Distinction. He was called to the Ontario Bar in 2023 and began practicing initially in the area of criminal law. He developed his litigation skills in the criminal courts before switching to civil litigation, which Jacob practiced in Windsor prior to joining Bartlet & Richardes LLP in June 2025.

Jacob’s practice encompasses general commercial and civil litigation, tax litigation, and administrative law. Jacob has represented clients in matters before the Ontario Court of Justice, Superior Court of Justice, Tax Court of Canada, and Divisional Court. Jacob has a particular interest in administrative law and looks forward to serving and protecting his client’s interests.
